I was surfing channels last night and paused on CMT.  One of the newer country music stars, Billy Currington, was doing some George Strait stuff.  It caught my eye because it looked like he was playing a -03 series Larrivee.  Couldn't quite tell if it was a D or an L.

Why did you think it was an -03? If it was an older -05 or -09 Larrivee, it wouldn't have had the silver border around the headstock.

The finish was definitely satin.  Also it looked new (i.e.- played very little), though maybe it has just been well-cared-for.  Also, there was no abalone.
