There seems to be very few actual 'pro' fingerstyle guitarist that play Larrivee so nice to find this guy.

Are there any others apart from Justin King and Shaun Hopper?

I forgot to mention Denis Turbide!!

Sorry Denis - I really enjoy your stuff

Former world champion fingerpicker Richard Smith plays an LV-10 although he played a different guitar ( a Stonbridge) when I saw him awhile back.   He told me that he has been playing Larrivees for years and won the fingerpicking title with the LV-10.

John Standefer has won Winfield two different times and he's a Larrivee endorsee (although they have his name misspelled on the artist list on the Larrivee site).

Also, if you just click on the 'Artist' section of the Larrivee site, you'll see that several winners of big Fingerstyle competitions are playing Larrivee:

  Shane Adkins
2005 International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion

John Standefor (Soloist, National Fingerstyle winner 2002)

Richard Smith (Soloist, National Fingerstyle winner 2001)

Peter Huttlinger (Soloist, National Fingerstyle winner 2000)

So, if these are winners, I have to believe there were some non-winner 'pro' fingerstylists also playing Larrys.

Just found another player - Adam Cord.

We should perhaps continue this and get a thread full of Larrivee guitars on video?

This isn't fingerstyle but Old Crow Medicine Show does play Larrivees and the seem to hold their own in an Old Timey Band.

Just been looking at your website - you definately qualify as a Larrivee artist

Have a good Xmas across the pond in Florida.

I have 6 pieces up on YouTube, all from a House Concert in Santa Rosa, CA that was happening the same weekend as the '09 Healdsburg Guitar Festival.

Here's my YouTube account link if anyone is interested in seeing/hearing a PV-09 played:

A lot of good guitar players play Larrivées. However, I stopped caring if any of them were famous, a long time ago.

Sorry Larry - hope I did not offend you by not mentioning your name at the top of the thread

Why, not at all...I fly under the radar of a lot of folks, as I'm not a flashy player, so to speak...and that's the way it is!

The latest edition of the excellent "Fretboard Journal" has a feature on British singer/songwriter/guitarist, Michael Chapman, who has for years championed Fylde Guitars.  His current main instrument is a cutaway L Larrivée!

Wow Larry - looks pretty flashy to me tho - may I ask what electrics you are using on that sweet PV ?   :donut :donut

Thanks WPete...

I am a dedicated Highlander IP-1 user, for internal electronics.  No need for a second source, and the IP-1 provides a rich, full and complex sound...having been a retailer for many years, and as a musician with access to everything out there, I find the Highlander is the absolute best solution for my live/plugged-in sound.  I always use a high quality reverb and front-end pre-amp - typically it's the Dr. Scientist Reverberator (a 24 bit foot-pedal reverb...superior to anything I have heard, portable, and with the right sound for acoustic guitar) and the Highlander PAMDI as the pre.  I also use the Bose T1 from time to time...but the Dr. Scientist reverb and the Highlander PAMDI are the superior sound.

Some of you might know this guy..he's kinda famous. :)   This is probably the only time Maton would let him play a Larrivee on camera! Love the new song!
