Apology

This is an apology to the person who set their profile to Ignore my posts.  

Of course that person won't see this unless someone else replies. I'm not looking for a lot of replies - but if at least one person does then maybe the person to whom I am writing will see this.

I apologize for whatever I did or said that led you to ignore my posts.

I try to contribute value and behave well in various online communities. That is a conscious part of my thinking before hitting the Post button on each and every post. It seems that I have not done well in that regard here and I am sorry.

Please send me a private message. I would be grateful for the chance to apologize personally and to rectify whatever I have done that offended you.

OK let me see here you think you piss someone off by something you posted that non of the rest of us know anything about and you feel that if someone post in this thread the offended person might read it and then accept your apology is that it????









WTF I just read this over and it makes no sence since I know I've pissed off more people on this forum and maybe once I apologiesed but I doubt it.OK I'll bit.



Will the offended person get over it,its not that big of a deal so lets shake hands bang bellies bump butts and move on.

I will admit, I am confused by the meaning of your post but I chalked it up to being Friday and the end of a long week. I usually get anywhere from 50 to 100 (or more) e-mails at work every day so I come here to be entertained, informed and to unwind. I usually have the TV on and a guitar in my lap too as you can tell by reading some of my posts from time to time.

The personalities and opinions on this forum are varied and diverse so don't take it personally. I do have to say that you have an impressive stable full of guitars.

Don't read too much into this. Enjoy your weekend.

You have mucho class!  You are apologizing for something you've inadvertantly done which has offended someone.  You don't know what it is you've done, and you are safeguarding the identity of the offendee.  I repeat, you have class! 

I can't remember a single post of yours that could have been construed as offensive.  Your contributions have been valuable and uplifting.  You can't make everbody happy all the time; some folks are overly sensitive.  Danny nailed it when he said that it's the person who has chosen not to see your posts who is really missing out.

I, like a few others, am confused about this whole thing.   First off, I've met you and spent a little time talking to you in person and on the forum:   I know for a fact that you would never intentionally do anything to offend anyone.   Second, I don't even know how a person could set their profile to ignore posts by anyone;  and if they did do that how would you know ?   

It's obvious that it has upset you a bit and you've done all you can do to make amends.   The person who was offended will probably never know of your apology since he's ignoring your posts.   But the rest of us know that we are privileged to have a person of your caliber hanging around here.   I, for one, look forward to your well-thought-out and insightful posts.   Keep 'em coming.  And don't dwell on this for even one more minute.

I think if you click on that little "ignore" thing on the side of the post, that may be what hes talking about - I'd guess that someone may have clicked on it accidentally? Compared to some of the nonsense I've seen posted, ST would have to work pretty hard and offend himself pretty severely before he'd offend anyone else -

If you look in your profile setting page it show how many people are ignoring you. There are six ignoring me!

I never knew you could automatically ignore someone's posts.  Now I look and find my wife visited the forum just so she could ignore me here too.  Unlike ST, I am sure I deserved it.

Mate, its admirable that you've publicly opened this issue amongst our Forum, of which nearly everyone is decent and what Id consider extended family. There are spats and dummy throws here occasionally, I am guilty of this myself. But considering that out of all the members here, 1 person is either offended by something you've said, may not share the same views as you or simply for whatever reason doesnt want to hear what you've got to say, I wouldn't sweat it. The person in question may never identify themselves, they may not be the confrontational type.

If you receive a PM from this person and can work out the problem, then I guess its a good thing. But I wouldnt loose any sleep. Keep posting ST, and enjoy the Forum for what it is. Chatting with a large community of larrivee fans who undoubtedly have different opinions on a lot of things.
