Rob,  Thanks for doing your job bumping the thread.

That's awful about the dog.  I'm with your wife on it, but if there is no support from the law, then maybe there is no action.  What about nuisance laws?

Nuisance law's don't seem to matter in Florida. My wife went over and made nicey, nice and gave them some flower's.

Yes! And I've killed a few in dramatic fashion. Most the times however I prefer to think of it as just making one post too many. Like it was dead  already and I just tossed some dead flowers on the grave.
But I'm getting reformed now. :?
I wonder who will kill the thread killing thread? Probably you or me!
Hmm I made the 3rd post on this thread and apparently thought I had good chance of killing it. Can we believe it's been the better part of 7 years now?!

Mine will be handed on to my son at the end of my days. I've owned it nearly 7 years now. Worn out a set of frets on it, first guitar I've owned and used long enough to do that.

The Eastmans a Mandolin Rob, but it's a particularly nice one I think. Varnish finish and Adironidack spruce top. The new guitar is the '64 RI Tele in Blonde. It's on lay-away atm...

Cheers, The Thread Ender.

I'd buy a Fender Tele if they reissued the 61 with the brazilion slab board.Had one once but due to an idiot moment I traded it for a pedal steel.

I had a 65 model Rob, that I stupidly sold off to a pawn shop to feed my family while I was in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War (er Conflict)  :crying:.  I recently acquired a 70's Classic Thinline Tele reissue that I am going to upgrade and hopefully de-Mexico it...

Is that a Gibbo wrap around tail piece there Rob? Combining my two favourite electrics. A Tele and a '54 LP Goldtop.  :beer

Here is a couple of pics of the Fender Classic 70's Thinline reissue I am retrofitting in an attempt to create a substitute for the Larrivee Malibu that I so wanted to obtain before they stopped production of Larrivee electrics.  I have not done much to it, just replaced the tuning machines with Graph Tech Ratio F style locking ones and set it up with the strings I prefer.  So far it plays and sounds better than I had expected...

I have avoided responding to this thread (see my thread earlier this week about being a thread ender) , but finally had to get in on the current topic. In 1971 I bought a '68 Les Paul reissue of the famed '50s model. It was a gold-top with P-90s and the wrap-around tailpiece. It was beautiful, sounded great with the big Gibson amplifier I had recently bought, and completely too good for a 19 year old country boy that was trying to go to school and find out what I wanted to do with my life. I kept it for a year or so and traded or sold it for something I don't recall and moved on. I have always regretted not keeping that LP and have bought many, many guitars in hopes of recapturing that allure.

The only way to get that sound is with an old style wrap-a-round.The one's they sell now don't get that tone.

Can't remember the name of the thread about pix of us with
guitars in the past. Plus I don't have the right stuff to try and find it.
So here is a pic of me, the little lady and my old Korean made Goya. I wrote a song for her to the tune "Never comes the Day.

I found this picture when I was burning about 10 boxes of old records.
