Gday all,

I recently looked back over some of my previous posts and noticed an aweful lot of threads die an early death after Ive posted on them! Am I that mind numbingly boring that my posts drive the good folk of the Forum away in their droves? Am I to be known as "The Thread Killer"? (Play dramatic music)...

Has anyone had this happen to them? Heres you chance folks, "No Scott, its just you".....hehehehehe.!

Cheers, Scott.

Well Scott this one's still alive and kickin'................................................. :laughin: :coffee

Yes still here....but awoke to the sound of my wife`s smart phone`s earth quake alarm this morning seconds later we got hit with a 6.4 quake that seemed to go on a long time...what a way to start a day.

Man shaken and stirred before the first cup of coffee.Hope all are safe.

My oldest daughter lives in Japan where this is a common occurence - hope you're all okay!

Yes, common... but when one hits we don`t know if it`s going to be another life altering event or not...you hold your breath, try to keep your heart under control and hope it isn`t. Probably easier to become blase about them from far away, from close up...don`t think so. For me, not yet anyway.

And just to change the topic a bit...typhoon coming tomorrow...perhaps I`ll be able to do the back stroke to work.

earthquake's scare the hell out of me because you don't know when they'll hit, they just do there thing.Hurricanes/typhoons you at least know there coming and can prepare too a point. After going thru Andrew we start prepping having enough supplies for at least 6 weeks.Ya I know they say prepare for 2 weeks but then Katrina come's to mind.At the end of the hurricane season we donate the supplies and in March we start over again..

Where are you located, may I ask?  :?

Well, it came through last night and I woke to sunshine...clouded over since however. We rarely get typhoons this far north in Sendai, they`ve generally petered out by the time they get here, usually just rain, sometimes wind but nothing like they get in southern parts. Never a dull moment.

Well we are disappearing into the Allegheny Mountains now. We will be there a week, in a cabin with no cell service or internet. No AC either   :wave

If you are high enough you won't need it.

We hope so. With the record heat coming in we may get a bit uncomfortable at times.

Where are you staying?
