I'm working on my console humidifier (again). I had to take out the rotating absorbtion pad I just made because it was too thick and hung up. So I'm making a new one out of polyester roll filter media, glued together to make a 17 1/2 X 42" belt.  We are drying out now with the heat on all the time.

Christmas baking....

How timely to read a discussion about vanilla beans and baking.   I think I'll give GA-ME's vanilla recipe a try.  I've got access to the beans and usually have a couple quarts of bourbon in the cupboard.   whistling

This Sunday is the annual "Baking Day" at our house.   My grown daughters and my wife spend the entire day baking cookies and other goodies to give to friends and co-workers.   My job is simply to sample each batch to make sure they are up to our standard.   I love my job.

Here is what I get to sample..........

Sounds like a tough Sunday you have ahead of you

I love this time of year but I always seem to add a little weight over the next few weeks.  Turkey dinner in 16 days!!!

Going to sneak a few minutes on the guitar now

Enjoy your day

Yeah, I've got it pretty rough.        Sit on the couch with my grandson Frankie while we make play-dough animals, watch Football, and eat cookies.   The smell coming out of our kitchen will make a grown man's knees buckle.     bigrin

GA-ME , sorry there's only one "official taster' position and I'm not retiring any time soon.

Man here I am needing to get my truck prepared and go to the bank etc. And my own ice maker developed a water leak. So for at least the last two if not three hours I've been repairing my ice maker. (Which is part of what I do for a living) At least I had all the parts and fittings I needed and the little wife didn't  have to face a flood in the kitchen while I'm away.
Houses really require a lot of upkeep. Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to live in a small cabin in the woods. But then again I was raised in a small house and had to draw water from the well, run the rabbit traps, cut wood, and use an out house that was quite a ways from the house. In winter, in the snow that got interesting. (lots of yellow snow around the house) three boys ya know. whistling
