The first time I ate boiled shrimp I crunched right down on the shell and chewed it up. We were at Red Lobster I think and the group I was with were all staring at me. My wife said, I think you want to peel those first.
Being so proud and losing face in front of everyone I said "Oh, that's the way I eat em"
                                                 Yea right...

Happy Birthday Danny Boy.
Here's to your health. I toast you with an oyster smoothie (no shells, hardly any shells or finely ground shells- you choose).

I've got a friend who eats them like that...she lived in china for many years and got in the habit there. Seems odd to me.

Happy Birthday.  My wife's birthday was yesterday...a friend of ours was on Saturday...and my wifes mother's was on thursday...that's quite a streak of birthdays!

We went to see Bonnie Raitt last night to celebrate my wifes birthday...

Don't feel bad. When I lived in Atlanta we went to the Blues Club in Underground. (to see my man Gatemouth) This wasn't the "old" underground, but the new spruced up version so it drew a ritzier crowd. These 2 men sat next to us dressed in fancy 3 peice suits. My guess would be some kinda out of town investment bankers or something. So I was already thinkin how out of place they looked in a blues club, even a spruced up new one. So they order thier food and after some time it came. They had ordered Lobster. When they brought it out the men just looked mystified. They ask to send it back for someone to get the meat out for them. The waittress explained that they didn't really do that. Understand as well that the place was packed and all the workers were running like crazy. The men were very persistant, or arrogent xxxholes, which ever you perefer and finally the waitress said "ok I'll take back to the kitchen". Well indeed she did take those delicious looking critters to the back never for to be seen again. They waitied about 45 minutes and left before show even started (you had to buy show tkts to get in). We asked the waitress about them and explained that we knew how to eat them but she said, oh, I gave them to the dishwashers when I took them back. They're long gone.
I'd of rather seen you stick the whole tail in your mouth than to see lobster go to waste!
Happy birthday, I guess you're only a few days older than me. (years don't count anymore)

Thanks for the greetings TtP, ST and Matt. It's been a good day. And it's not over yet.

ST, as far as food today, I had sushi at lunch ( no shells on the shrimp) and on the way home i just felt like "Pizza Pizza" so I stopped at Little Ceaser's and got a large stuffed peperroni. Sounded good to me.
