My C10 has a serial number of 283013. I tried emailing Larrivee for the production year and I get no response.
Does anyone kere know?
Thanks,
Bob

28 is the model number and 3013 is the serial number. Most likely a early 1980's vintage guitar.

Actually, it was called a model L-28 Deluxe at the time.

Thanks fpr posting Randy. Looking at the reciept was interesting to me because of  a discussion in a thread a couple years ago. I made a comment in one of those "for the price" disscussions how Larrivee's used to be more expensive than Martins and there were no less expensive offerings by Larrivee. I paid 1400.00 including tax at the end of 80' for L-10 deluxe.. So a little over 1300.00 I think.
Someone said they were only like 800.00 or something then. So I thought "whatever". No way to compare Larrivee prices then because nobody carried them. Still sounded better than the Martins or Gibsons that were around 900.00 (ball park) at the time. This kinda verifies that if I was over charged, which I doubt, someone else was laying out the cash for a Larrivee too!
From inflation site.
"Current data is only available till 2008. $3137.32 in the year 2008 has the same "purchase power" as $1325 in the year 1981."
They weren't cheap! Without the inlay and fancy stuff I remember the other one he had (L-09?) would have been 1200.00. Only charged 125.00 for list price 300.00 upgrade at the time.
10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.
