This is a new hog top 000-50 (MT) it is for sale in San Antonio at Guitar Tex.
    here is the E-bay link
http://cgi.ebay.com/Larrivee-000-50-MT-solid-mahogany-one-of-a-kind-NR_W0QQitemZ200384424948QQcmdZViewItemQQssPageNameZRSS:B:SRCH:US:101

I have tried to talk myself into going for this one. I could drive down and pick it up. But it's just a tad too large for my shoulder issues.

I thought someone here may appreciate knowing about this one.

A 000 is a similar body size to the OM or LS, maybe a slightly deeper body than the FIII guitars.

I played one and it stretched my shoulder just enough to begin hurting in a few minutes. I think it's the body length or something.
Of course the truth is it's me. I am going to break down and go to the Doc. I have reached a point where I can't function as well as I used too.

If it goes for anywhere near the current high bid it will be the steal of the year.   Someone's going to get a very nice guitar.  I know because I have the mirror image lefty version of this guitar.

I thought of that right off. Plus it's right down the road and it's the guitar I really want.
I may bid once on it anyway.

The Martin 000-15S has almost the same specs (significantly less bling, of course).    Has anybody compared the two?

Yes I have; and the 000-15s is actually smaller. It has much less bling and can be mahogany or sapele. I like them but the 000-17s is a better comparison to the 000-50MT Larrivee I think, but only a few hundred were made.

But it also has the wider neck - that's the bigger issue -   Tad

The Martin has a Mortise and Tenon neck joint as opposed  to the traditional dovetail neck joint of the Larrivee. I havent played either, but the 00-15 I once played was a cracker !

Cheers, Scott.

Man, Danny if that was just down the road from me.....

First stop: Guitar shop.

Second stop: Doctors.

It'd make a great companion to a Martin OM-21, right?

Cheers, Scott.

ok, it sold. I'll admit I put in an early low-ball bid. Did some one here get it? I really like my 000-60 a lot, and also like my similarly sized 0M-03mt forum 1 a lot. So a mt 000 with slot head and modified bracing was enticing. I hope one of you grabbed it so I can get a real players report and maybe an mp3 sometime.

I am on the road and visiting friends. I pulled up the site and was about to bid , but my friend was with me and I felt like I needed to just log off and spend time with him.
I think I would have bid this up higher. No shipping for me. But, oh well it's gone now.
Hope it goes to a good home.

Wow, that thing might have sold below dealer cost. Is Guitar Tex going out of business?
