Greetings -

Can someone recommend one or two reliable, cost-effective guitar cable brands?

Don't need anything road-worthy -- I get out once a week to an open mike, and at some, the house cable isn't reliable.

Something to connect my iMix-equipped L-09 to the house PA.

Thanks kindly.

I generally roll my own, although I do have a Whirlwind cable that has been part of my kit for the past ~20 years. I also bought a Planet Waves one day I was feeling pretty flush.

I'm a huge fan of Mogami cables. For the cost effective portion, there are several ebay sellers that use Mogami cables that they sell online. For my acoustic, I avoid the so called "silent" end plugs and use the regular ends. The "silent" cables use a sleeve so when you plug and unplug them from your guitar there is no "pop" going through the sound system. They work great on my electric, but not so well with the acoustic.

On one of the Harmony Central forums the recommended Audiopile http://www.audiopile.net/ as a source. I have no direct experience with them, but the HC folks had very good things to say about them. The best cables I have are Whirlwind.

The guy lives a couple hours from me. Top quality stuff. Several sound guys I know use him and have had good experiences. No personal relation and etc, but wanted to report he is trustworthy and etc.
