Hey Denis-
did you ever record it? I'd love to hear you do it!

Not yet but I plan to make a recording/video of it soon...with the Forum III to be sure.  I do play it at every gig though.  I've always loved that tune and when I found the fingerstyle arrangement, I knew I had to learn it!

AHH ! So there is something left to live for after all or are we dancing madly backwards?  There are some nice acoustic parts on thier stuff too. I lost my old 3D vinyl cover along the way but I did replace It and sufficiently breathless with cd's a few years back. Put out in Japan I believe.

In the player are:

Canned Heat: my own best of all boogie with none of the hippie dippy jams.(new gibson 57' pickups in sheriton needed checked out)

Steven stills live: I just listen to the acoustic set which is one of my very favorite finger pickin acoustic sets.

J J Cale and Clapton: road to escidito or wherever: great cd, clapton really can play, very classey stuff and several songs about getting older that are great.

Vinyl .......Hot Tuna. Burgers: working on finally improving my finger pickin.

Down loaded John Hartford's Gentle on my Mind.. again for fingerpickin, working on learning it .

I like the taste of folks on here. A lot of stuff I love listed!
10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.

Yep, although they are from my era, I'm not sure I heard them much back then, although 'Dancing Madly....' rings a bell. I just re-discovered them while browsing Amazon and bought all three of their studio recordings. It's nice to find 'new music' you like, especially when you think there's nothing left. I just added a few more to my Stephen Stills collection recently also, including the 'Live' one you mentioned.

Again, what a great selection of music people listen to on here. And many really mix it up too.
10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.

I'll say the last 5 tunes I chose to play from my personal music collection, since I haven't listend to a full CD in a long time, ipod has changed my listening habbits.  Plus I'm working out the latest tunes to add to our set lists.  According to the most recently played tunes list on my ipod:

Tony Joe White - Stockholm Blues, Polk Salad Annie
Eric Bibb - Troubadour
Mississippi John Hurt - Stack O' Lee
Taj Mahal - Stagger Lee (same tune as Stack O' Lee)

Van Morrison Moon Dance is a belter.

Can I add Spiritualised - 'Songs in A+E' to my list because I listened to it on the way to work and also on the way home.  That is an album that always leaves me in a very different mood to what I was in before I listened.  If anyone has heard it, sorry, but if not, its worth a listen.  Bear in mind that the guy nearly died through illness during the making of it.  The album is so morbid, and yet strangely uplifting musically.  I reckon music is all about making us feel something, not just hear something.

Forgive me if I am waffling, and you all hate this type of music, but I wanted to share in case anyone was interested.

If you have never heard of it, give it a try.

I haven't listened to 'Moondance' in ages. I think I'll give it a spin tonite.

Kyuss- Blues for the Red Sun

Right on!

OK...I just have to ask...are Craig and I the only two people on this forum that listen to Kyuss?

Really heavy guitar riff laden desert stoner rock that led to Queens of the Stone Age...
Three Larries and a Guild and an A&L...and electrics...and a mando

"Your lack of technique can be part of your style. The thing about style is that it's more entertaining, more important and hopefully more intellectual than technique."
