Anyone care to comment on the differences in sound and playability between these two?  Thanks.

Completely different guitars.

Well slightly off subject here but I could lend my opinion with regards to an 0M-50 and a 000-50.  My 000-50 trumps my 0M-50 in the volume and tone department and IMOH comes out ahead in the looks dept also (slothead).    The only advantage I see with the 0M-50 is the 14 fret access.  Hope this helps.

It's all about the slot...or not!

I have played them both and my preference is the 000, I needed to modify this . The OM-60 was the best OM from Larrivee that I ever played. I didn't spend much time with either one but liked them both a lot. They are both at the top of the Larrivee line up and it shows.
danny

It should also be noted that the 000-60 has a wider fingerboard and, correct me if Im wrong, wider string spacing at the bridge. This isn't always to some folks liking. The 000 also sits differently on your lap being a 12 fret. It brings the head of the guitar closer to your body, if you get my drift.
