I leave on the 11th. So I should receive it before.

A little update, I received $10 from Yoyodyne today. He recommends "bearclaws"
More is coming via mail and I'll post a list and total received soon. There are of course others who want to contribute at the tour in Vancity (is that right?)

I should have put a space in there, i.e., bear claws. Yummy!

Well, I guess $156 plus a few more $$ donated in Vancouver should buy a pretty fair amount of coffee and pastries.   I heard that we should expect to have about 25 - 30 Larrivee folks on site when we are there.   If we are a little short I'm sure we can come up with additional funds.   Maybe have to open the guitar case down on the corner and ask people for a donation to get us to stop playing.   :laughin:

Another thought is...

1)  Buy donuts for the number of employees who are there.

2)  Buy a Tim Hortons gift card with the remaining cash for those who are not there and ask John Larrivee to buy the shop floor donuts with the gift card when everyone is back from their break (the following week).  You can put the gift card in an envelope with a nice thank you card signed by everyone who attended the tour.

Jordan, Great Idea. We can ask John to add some photos of the Larrivee donut party to the Facebook log.

I think donuts are not all we should bring them, and a few of us have discussed bringing coffee, pastries, juice etc.  I think we can still do both. I plan on giving to this and I know others are still wanting to chip in.  So I hope no one gets offended by giving more than donuts. Actually other members have requested this also, just to let all know what's going on.

When Tad and Dermot and I get together for the donut run we will take care of this, including the cards.
(thank you and T. Horton's) Anymore ideas are welcome and appreciated. We will take good care of the Larrivee folks.

Hey Danny,

Just don't get any donut crumbs in my soundhole...

I called John Jr. today and then went down to the factory with my wife. He thought it would be best to buy all the employees sandwiches.
So Monday A.M. we will do a donut/pastry run and then John will tell us how many to get for lunch and where to buy them.
I will also get some nice cards. At least two, one for donuts and one for lunch later. He thought the sandwich idea was better than gift cards. (Though we could still throw in some for the remaining employees who are not there on Monday)

Danny :donut

Oh yea my F-III looks and feels real nice  :guitar

We're heading out to Timmy Horton's for the early morning run. I got $10 more last night total , from Lynda and Tad.
Dermot is coming by with T the P to pick up Tad and I and then later in the day we will buy some nice sandwiches for the whole factory also. And I have a very nice card from all of us at the forum per Randy's request.
Danny

So we met up early on Monday morning. d. gave us all a ride to Timmy's and we robbed the place (see pics...man in black holding the bag)
It was fun for me, a little embarrassing for some, but I think the employees there enjoyed my enthusiasm.
I had a hard time trying to explain what a "bear claw" was, so you see a gesture my hands like bear claws in one pic.

We got a few dozen donuts, a dozen muffins, 8 big ole cinnamon rolls and maybe something else. I was the only one to get coffee there, and I liked it A LOT.
