There's a new pic of all the necks stacked up and one of them in the bottom of the pile is marked "rw fretless".  What's that all about?

That might be the one that is a right-handed guitar with left handed fret markers ?

The only fretless I can think of might be a BA03 bass. which is rosewood.

OK    The more pictures I see the more confused I become.    I'm #3 but I see on the buld list that #3 is listed with SN 108496 and now the latest batch of pics shows #3 with SN 108627 !  I know SN 108627 is a left handed hog top because I can see it getting the soundhole cut in an earlier pic. How can one guitar have 2 SNs ?

Tuffythepug
I hear you Tuffy, quite strange.  Is it possible that some guitars become damaged or it is decided they don't meet quality control along the way so they are scrapped and restarted with a new SN?  Others who have been to the factory may know better?  I can't think of another reason for two guitars with #3 against them.  Unless gold members get two.  They had better get holly's second one on the go then!

I'll get posting!

The Hog/IS combination looks equally as stunning as the RW/IS.  I am sure the all hog version will be incredible too.  I think the proportions of this guitar are sweet, it looks perfectly formed.  really, waiting is becoming quite difficult now!

Very strange indeed.  The only difference I can spot is this:

108496:    LS-03-MH-0-0-M-00-0-ZZ
108627:    LS-03-MH-0-1-M-00-0-ZZ
                                     ^
                                      l
Does a one in that particular position mean left handed?

Tuffy, Mary, the answer is on Facebook, I'll copy it accross in a second.  The latter SN is the 'real' #3

For Tuffy

John Larrivee explains: -

Let me introduce you to the real #3.

*At one point the list was modified due to so many variations. An old list slipped in with the new.

Well then that explains it and I can once again be happily impatient !  My fingers are itching.

Guess this means our sleuthing of the early spreadsheet photos is in vain.

I think I'll go back to enjoying all the photos instead of "hawking" for pictures of mine.
Until the corrected spreadsheet is disclosed or I receive my actual FG-III I won't know what to look for anyway.

Got to go revise my signature,

I am still hanging onto the hope that I know the SN and have seen mine.  Innocent until proven guity type of approach!  It would be tempting fate to remove the signature!

If we find one on the spreadsheet with a B in fourth options column, that would be my Brazilian rosewood....   drool

I got the impression that they were referring to just number #3. Like someone mentioned it may have been a do over type of thing. I don' think they'd redo an entire list. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Is this for real? That would be something really special.

This RW body with the RED #'s must be something special. That doesn't look like EIR to me.

There's no denying that 108552 is a gorgeous guitar.

I never thought about the possiblity it wasn't EIR.

The red numbers indicate that it is NOT  a left handed model like the ones on either side of it.  wacko

Really, does it look that much different than other EIR that you've seen ?   There's a natural variation in the color and grain normally.   However, nobody would be happier than me if some very special wood was used on some of these.   I love for everyone to be totally thrilled with their instrument when they finally get their hands on it.

This is the first glimpse of what I think will be mine....the hogtop cutaway models seem to be pulling up the rear....
