With regards to those who didn't order a Forum III not to worry. Out of 78 orders and this economy "buyers remorse" may rear its ugly head. With myself, depending on the Forum III, will probably put one of my 00-50 Traditionals up for sale. If you like small guitars the 00-50 fits the bill. And then there's always the upcoming Forum IV.
I had been looking around for a 00 for a while when I saw the Forum III thread :) I certainly would consider one if I found the right one. I keep watching !

I was thinking how nice a slot head would look on the Forum III gits. Anybody have thoughts on this ? I think it was mentioned in the first thread, but I didn't pipe in. I think the response will be stay with the solid head.

In the beginning of the process we asked JCL if slot head would be an option, the answer..? NO....
Yes, a lot of us wanted slot head...

Yes, a slothead was something many of us were pushing for but it didn't get an ok from Larrivee.
I personally would have gone for a slothead and pyramid bridge but both of these were declined by JCL.
We just have to be content with what we
did
get him to accept.
Try to get it ok'd for a forum IV if it ever gets to that.

Not for me. I like my headstock like a paddle in case someone gets unruly.

My teacher's often drilled holes in thier paddle.Better air flow was the word. Left interesting patterns on your bottom.
Now that I think about it, they were kinda intersting. Each had thier own personalized design.
Another piece of history soon to be completely forgotten.

I don't think we're talkin about something as innocent as another guitar.
OR some people with a guitar phetish like to be paddled with lady's guitars headstocks.
Sorry Tuffy but you kinda opened yourself up for it!

That's what I was thinking. However, I didn't think Tuffy was into that kind of stuff!

Just something to smoke while you wait? But again sometimes California cigars smell funny.

Can we segue here? Change the subject, get back on track?
If so I'd like to share the first cut at lyrics for my attempt at a FG III song. It is inspired by a song Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary wrote for his custom built 12-string guitar. His song and the guitar were named Sebastian. No liner notes identified the inspiration and it took several listens before I got his meaning.
I'm not as clever as Paul but I tried to be a little subtle. No music yet, but I'm working on it.
With just a small hint of emotion
but little or nothing to lose
I followed a whimsical notion
to buy a Canadian muse.
Chorus
She'll be a thing of beauty and a joy forever
I see her inside my mind's eye.
She'll be a thing of beauty and a joy forever
I can hear her sing now if I try.
Like lonely hearts still corresponding
we haven't yet met anywhere.
I sent away money for funding
Her finishing school and her care.
May she have no lack of attention
may she receive care on the way
I hope it is worthy of mention
I'm thinking of her every day.
Written in honor of the Larrivee Forum III LS-03 special guitar.
Inspired by Noel Paul Stookey’s song,
Sebastian
