Here's another interesting headstock on the Martin Stauffer.  If weight and metal add sustain, this one must ring interminably:

Headstock is hideous in my humble opinion.  However,   look at the fretboard......   No fret markers except at the 12th fret......      sound familiar ?

I believe to that there's some herringbone purfling involved as well... very familiar indeed!
