Thanks Jonathan.  I appreciate the kind thoughts.   That goes for everyone who responded earlier, too.    Anyone who has ever loved a pet has, at some point, grieved for their loss.

Out here some folks take their dogs out surfing....literally...the dogs actually stand up on the board as their owners ride the waves.

We went down to our daughter's house this past weekend.  Our dog (the Border Collie) got to play with theirs (Lhasa Apso/Chihuahua mix).  They had a good time as did everyone that watched.

Every time I open a case and take a guitar out, she has to jump in and sniff around...

My Hofner case:

My old Seagull case:

I have been closing the Larrivee case when the guitar comes out and it pisses her off :D

Another crazy deal involving the police in Austin. These guys seem to lack proper training big time!  This guy was playing frizzbee with his blue healer "Cisco", a cop pulled up and within 10 seconds had shot his dog.
This was a ridiculous situation of police officer lack of proper training.

My first gut instinct for a response was "I would have shot the cop".  Really though, did the dog survive?  What a tragedy.

The dog died. The cop was at the wrong address, yelling with a drawn gun at the owner of the dog. The dog was only barking. Big deal. I have worked around dogs all my adult life and was raised around them as a kid. We never shot a dog because it "barked".
Especially not a blue healer. This cop would be someone that I would not want to be around, I'm pretty sure he will shoot a person someday and I hope I'm wrong and he at least becomes a better cop out of this tragedy.

The new iPad update allows me to post pics straight from the iPad.  Finally.  Here is Jack the Dog!  He's an older fellow.

How cute, I bet if he's still on the couch now there isn't room for anybody else.

Sorry about the passing of your pooch, Broken. They truly become part of our families.
Here's a picture of our pup, RaRa, sleeping one off.

Got dogs? Do we ever! Four long coated chihuahuas. About 17 pounds all together.

Here's Jake our hero brave and true.
