Agreed!

I will third that.  RW and overseas first - that'll do me!! bigrin

In addition Lynda, if it goes by chronological orders, if you ordered then cancelled then reordered, it is only fair that the first order number counts

Hey !  What the...       Rosewood first ? ! ?    yak

The only fair way to do it is to build them in the same order that the orders were placed.   whistling

Joseph, you would seem to be covered in either case, being one of the first few to actually place your order.   Uh...   I think mine was next.  bigrin

I had been wondering when the next point of contention would crop up:   now I know   bigrin

I can see an encampment forming outside Jim Holler's shop in April. Everybody got their tents and Coleman stoves ready?

I am only jesting, of course.  It would be a pain if those in from the very start were to have to wait until May/June because of orders placed at the last minute, but it'll be worth the wait I am sure.

Before everybody gets all riled up...I bet Greg was talking about shipping five at a time...not building five at a time.

Shipping 5 at a time is correct... I think 5 each day or so.. JCL does that on a lot of his limited run guitars.  I'm sure they will all be started relatively about the same time and as a group for continuity purposes.  It makes sense.... No need for the rush on such a beautiful thing!  Patients is a virtue.

BTW, they are the Schaller M6 they are using.  He read it right off tha memo to me yesterday.  I bet it is a 2009 new thing to go with the Schaller's....  I bet they were waiting to use up all the Pings they had.  I hope they do come on the Forum III's!!!!  All of my newer Larrivee's I have had, the Pings sucked!  My New Old stock DV-03R (2001 model) has the Pings and they work fine.  Not sure whythey are different.  I guess like cars... Some generations better than others.

Also I checked on the strings.... Still Cleartone...(As far as he knew)

I actually like the fact they come with Cleartones.  It is like a double surprise.  New guitar excitement, then you get it all over again when you put real strings on it.

Concerning the Italian Spruce....... in the intereview with David Wren Jean said  "Now if I am patient and go through enough  wood,  I am once again able to get some European spruce that is the quality I need.  In order for me to pick 1000 guitar tops though,  I have to go through six or seven thousand and reject the rest".

I'm just guessing but I would think all the tops he picked are high grade, based on that statement.

Ben, unfortunately it isn't gonna work that way. I now have a number towards the end, which is fine as I was stupid enough to cancel in the first place.

Amen, brother. Besides, it's a brand new set to ship out to Second Strings.

I think Larrivee builds the even numbered guitars first...then builds the odd numbers. So just hope you don't have a high lottery number and its odd as well....at least the even high ones are lower than the odd high ones....

Maybe the forum guitars should be built and shipped according to the age of the buyer:  i.e. the oldest buyer gets theirs first, then the next oldest, etc....  After all, the older buyers will have less time to enjoy their forum IIIs before it's time for the permanent dirt nap.       bigrin
