Will you people stop this thread!  Every time I turn around, there are more posts!    This may stay active longer than some of the daytime soaps...and now I'm addicted!

Here's a few low-quality quick snaps of my Herringbone'd -03 guitar.  For myself, I am sticking with only soundhole herringbone - a little herringbone can go a long way, and also I've seen some nice Martins that only had it on the soundhole, and I thought it looked great.  I do love herringbone, though.

Wow, a cutaway option!  So, does anyone have a picture of an LS with cutaway?  Would the LSV-11 be close enough?

Any idea how would the cutaway affect the sound?

Thanks rpm and Jim for all the efforts so far!  (I love the BREAKING NEWS banners.)

On the spec, thread it says FLORINTINE so it would be like a CS not like an LSV-11

Wow, that makes me think hard about the cutaway, now that it's a Florentine.  Argh!      drool

I was hoping for the softer V cutaway.  No way will I go with Florentine.  So perhaps it will be herringbone all around.

Thanks Randy for posting the spec's.  Do you know what the overall length will be?  Thanks!

For Holly

I was wrong about the Santa Cruz forum guitar.   It has herringbone purfling but not herringbone rosette.    Anyway here's what you wanted to know.  This is how it looks with an Italian Spruce top.

It's shaping up to be a long cold winter it seems.   One thing we have to look forward to is that in April everything will thaw out,  the sun will begin warming the earth again and Larrivee forum III guitars will begin to sprout up all over.   Aaaahhhhhhhhh   Springtime

L-Fan, looks just like my OM-09.  Very cool look, IMO.

Against IS though, on a satin finish, it will really look nice.

I liked my bearclaw LV-03R but on this one I want a fine IS white top/clear PG and herringbone as the contrast in trim and rosette.

Glad there's a cutaway option for some that will like it, not for me though.  I'm up in the air on the herringbone purfling.  Not sure if I like it with or without???  On the fence.  Tough choice.  HELP!!  ohmy

Joseph
for what it's worth I'm goin' with the h'bone on my F-III hog top.    I'd be jumpin' on it for sure with the Ital. Spruce.   It think it's classic and frames the guitar very well.  I'm sure it will look great with the standard trim but the standard maple binding just won't stand out as well by itself.
