I ordered mine about two minutes after you did.

I guess I'll be #3 of  ???

Good news about the 3 dots on the 12th I think.  (the mark of tuffythepug  )

For those undecided about the herringbone.   I thought that the herringbone rosette without the matching purfling would look odd but I may be mistaken.   I would go for the $50 rosette but probably not the additional $200 for the purflng.

If you want to know what it would look like with maple binding and herringbone rosette just looke at this L-03SP w/herriingbone that Jim Holler has on his site.   You can go there to see more pictures of this.   What do you guys think ?

I have 19 people on my list.

I am wondering the people on the list should perhaps PM ricky with their preference...

This way people who are not participating in this project aren't able to vote....

How do you know if people not on the list are participating or not?

Thanks Ricky for the updated news.  There were 3 common features that were reaccuring conversation regarding unique and simple features on this guitar I would like some info on.

What was said about a 3 microdot 12-fret?

What was said about no fret markers?

What was said about no pickguard attached?

3 Yes-es.

We'll get the 3dots on 12th, yes.

No fret markers, yes.

Pickguards detached & in case & Jim will install upon request, yes.

Once again, thanks to everybody who made this thing happen.  No doubt, these will be very special guitars to all of us.  Anyway, here's my preferences for the remaining questions, but keep in mind I know I'll be happy with the finished product whether or not my choices make the cut or not.

Rosette - Herringbone.  I have it on my OM-09, and I think it looks great, and I think it would look even better with IS.

Pick Guard - None

I would prefer fretmarkers.

Please include pictures so it is clear which we are selecting.  If they are available, it would be good to see the difference between these on MT vs IS.  Does it have to be the same rosette for both IS and MT?  One might look better on one than the other.  BTW, isn't the abalone rosette standard on the 03MT?  GA shows an L-03MT (sapele) with the abalone rosette.  I just thought I would mention it in case it was standard on the 03MT.  Since I am getting IS, I might prefer herringbone, though I need to find a picture to decide.

Thanks.

Tim

No abalone. I'm told Vancouver factory not equipped for that.

Herringbone pic... Tuffy posted some.  You can look at Trinity Guitars for L-03 sapele with h-bone.

When we go H-bone... alll will have H-bone....                     UNIFORM specs. Only CHOICES are tonewood COMBOS.

I'd pay extra for abalone, but I just don't really dig the herringbone, and am not terribly interested in paying an extra $50 for it. I'd rather invest the $ in better tuners.

And I'm right after you with #4.   bigrin

My vote is for herringbone, though I'm not sure who to tell.  Jeff said to PM Ricky and Ricky wanted a poll from Randy.  Sounds like a song...

The only choice to make at this point is yes or no on the $50 herringbone rosette and whether or not you want a pickguard.  The pickguard is a personal option and the rosette will be decided for all by popular vote.  There is no need for any further requests outside of this, everthing else is already standardized.

Vote YES on HERRINGBONE!!

Ricky,

I thought by posting in the order thread that those were our orders? Wrong?

Lynda, call or email Jim.  That is how the orders will be placed.

I'm going to start a Rosette Poll, please make a choice if you are buying a Forum III.

Lynda,

What did Jim have to say about CDN shipping?

Or are you planning to drive a cube van down and pick them all up?

Cheers
