Yeah I do.   that's why I'd like this one to be all hog too.   I have two other Spruce / RW Larrivees so I'm fine with those woods but I love the way JCL does mahogany.   I think it may mellow out the sound a bit which could be pretty bright with an Italian Spruce top and Rosewood b/s small bodied guitar.   I am temped by the IS / hog combo though.    I could change my mind at the last minute.

....Adam, thanks for this idea.  Let me connect with Jim Holler first thing tomorrow morning.  I'll take instructions from him as to how to proceed.  I like your idea about all committed persons to forward their email address... Who to forward to? I don't know at this point.

I'm thinking, we need to keep the ORDERING PROCEDURE as simple as possible and ELIMINATE the middle person. I'm saying, Jim Holler may want to take all the orders himself... or he may want me or one of us to do that for him. Let's wait. Jim's our man.

I've been trying to shield Jim from a barrage of phonecalls and emails.

I think we need to place orders directly with Jim (at least I need to).  We're talking about a fair amount of money here...and if anything goes wrong with my funding, shipping, or any after the sale warranty issues, I want to have one person/dealer to deal with. Jim deals directly with his customers on any other guitar he sells and this should be no different.

"I think it was holly who said that this may only be like an OM-03 or something like that. No offense to you holly I know the sense you were portraying, but "

None taken, it was really more of a question since I have no idea what an LS means as far as 'special' other than discontinued. I will say that if I had to choose between that what did someone politely say? "Spartan" black and white Rosette and a SIMPLE abalone, I'd prefer the smashed up shells.  So while I REALLY hope it's wood, I don't think I'd take my ball and go home.

At this point anyhow,lol.

And yeah, this thread should be locked, if for no other reason than it's too cumbersome to wade through anymore.

If in doubt, please read Jim's email slowly.

If anyone is still in any doubt, please read the entire thread from start to finish slowly.  By the time you finish the guitars should be finished and ready for collection!!!

Yes, indeed. Looks good to me... Maybe beside their name, they can include their Forum Login Id?

Thanks again Jeff. (looks like we're the only 2 still up chattin' - I guess it's time to hit the sack soon, there's fresh snow in Edmonton; my wife just left for her graveyard shift, called my cell and said... "shovel the driveway... it's embarrassing to the neighbors"  (and in my head, I really want to say something like, "OO, as in I wanna play my OO instead"    But, I kept my mouth shut; I'll do as I'm told... or my Forum Git III may just become wishful thinking...

Good night, eh?  (if Lynda reads this, Canadian? You betcha!  Not the Habs, nor Leafs, nor Canucks [sorry Jeff], but Oilers all the way!!!)

ricky

Of course I read this Ricky...eh... LOL  As for hockey, I stopped caring a very long time ago. Pretty hard when you live so close to TO though. I generally laugh at the scalpers who are trying to sell tix outside Union Station on my way home though.

Happy to provide this info:

Email address:  shamann@comcast.net
Name: Scott Hamann
Wood choice:  Ital/Hog

However, why are we asking to freeze this thread if we are supposed to all be providing this information?  Shall we postpone the freezing until we get all information or set up an alternative way to collect the info?  It's all good.

Due to forum rules, the price of the new guitar won't be able to be posted here. Jim Holler is working up his numbers.

The three options are as listed:

Mahogany w IS
Mahogany w Mahogany
EIRosewood w IS

12 Fret Neck on all three, standard scale (25.5inch)

I will lock this thread once Ricky rpm60912 starts a new one.

Those who are committing to the purchase of the Forum Guitar III will be listed in the new thread.

You misunderstand me. I was only collecting trying to collect emails to present Jim with a list so that we could make his life easier. If he has to send out the same pricing options to everyone then one broadcast email makes sense. After that, your negotiations are your own business.

I live walking distance from the ACC. I find it entertaining to watch everyone walk out of the ACC after a game with this persistent melancholy shuffle and wearing a smile that one uses to occasionally mask some grim truth. Once a visitor from Belgium was walking outside with me and she said "They are coming from funeral?"
