Hello – I have polished out the satin finish to a gloss on several guitars over the years, using Meguier’s Scratch-X, with excellent results. I do this because I use soundboard pickups in my guitars that tend to pick up the sound of my hands brushing the satin top.

I’d very much like to do the same to the top of my new Seagull Entourage. However, I know that Seagulls have a genuine LACQUER finish and I’d appreciate any thoughts on whether this would work OK on an Entourage satin finish.
