I purchased this guitar new 2 months ago. It is the 2008 Model. The full specs can be found at:

http://www.larrivee.com/3_products/products_loadMovie/11%20series/LSV11/load%20movie/LSV11.html

The 2008 model differs from the description on the web site in 2 areas. 1) In 2008 Larrivee went form the Ping tuners with ebony buttons to German-made Schaellers with chrome bottons; and 2) They also went to a TUSQ saddle which I replaced with bone, so the guitar comes with both (and 2 extra bone saddles to adjust to your preferences). It is in mint, perfect, new condition and comes with original arch-top case. The only addition is that the dealer professionally added strap buttons which are gold in color. The MSRP is $3498. I am asking $2000 plus shipping. Also I'm including 5 different types of strings that I was going to experiment with. Feel free to email me with any questions or to request photos.

I'd like to see pics to see the new tuners - and any other changes -

I'd also like to know why your selling it so soon? That is a guitar that is high on my wish list based on all the forum comments on it, but it does sound like it is a little "precious" and not a good all-around guitar. But it seems that after the adjustment, people who have them love them -

What did you find?

:cheers   Tad
Bunch of Larrivees - all good -
and a wife that still puts up with me, which is the best -

Tad,
After several years layoff from playing I decided to pick up the guitar again (I had a Larrivee OM-02). I am a paraplegic and play from the wheelchair. I was experiencing some pain in my thumb joint, but kept brushing it off. Well, I got the LSV-11 but the pain has not gone away. I actually haven't been able to play the thing without pain. So that is basically why I am selling the guitar. As to its sound. It is very sweet and clean, and a bit on the bright side for my taste. I wish the bass were a bit boomier. I can't figure out how to add pictures to the post, so I will email you pictures of the tuners and the TUSQ bridge which are the only differences from the pics on the web site. The tuners have the Schaller "S" logo on the back and "made in Germany". Hope this helps.

Yea my LSV-11 is no Gibson J-45 but I never wanted it to be. Your different string sets would have given you some changes in tone.  Sorry to here your thumb bothers you, I have hand pain in both hands but not enough to stop playing. My LSV helps to keep my left hand from cramping up. My classical is even easier on me. Danny

Hey there, Tex.
Mind if I ask what area you live in ?
I would like to drop by and take it for a test drive.

Hi, I am in Austin.  Are you in central Texas?  I am interested.  Please email me offlist.  Thanks.   Mary

Are you up for trades?  I've got a JCL that may be a great guitar for you.  Much more bass and a fuller, warmer sound but still with that rosewood tone that's perfect for fingerpicking.  It has a 1 3/4" nut which is narrower that may be better on your left hand.  Just a thought....I've always wanted a LSV :whistling:

I sent her a message, thru the forum. Where did you obtain your LSV if you don't mind the question. It's hard to find very many higher end Larrivees in Central Texas. I guess we're to far from Canada or California and too close to Collings. :winkin:  Danny

GuitarTex,

Yes, I needed to change my profile before you could see the email icon.  Hopefully you can see it now.  (Plus thanks to dependan for the heads up).
