Unfortunately, I have to sell my LS-05. I went a little crazy last month buying two resonator guitars - so, something needs to go to fill the financial void.

Please look....   No reserve!!!

I see you also have a OM03MT.   How would you compare the two?   I passed on a LS-05 a few years ago and always regretted it.   I thoroughly enjoy my OM03MT though and would love to play those two side by side.   Any thoughts??

Thanks,
Mark

I think the OM-03MT is much more fundamental in sound (i.e. blues, ragtime). The LS-05 has more of a modern fingerstyle sound. Both are great guitars...but I think the OM-03MT is more limited in the styles that it can handle. The LS is a more versatile guitar.

That being said....I'm pretty well covered in the modern fingerstyle guitar department. That's the only reason I decided to sell the LS. It is a great guitar, with similar body volume to an OM - but a more comfortable body shape to hold.

I was the original owner of this Larrivee. It is a beauty. I still miss it sometimes.

Someone needs to bid on this guitar. Only eight hours left and it's at a give away price.
Wish I wasn't broke.

Well, I tried, but lost while I was out with my mother-in-law for mothers day dinner -  Someone got a nice one here -

The little LS-05 is staying in the forum family!  I almost hate to admit that I won the bid, because the auction was fairly competitive and you never know who really, really wanted the guitar.....  But I am excited to own it!  I have been a very quiet member for years and have learned a lot from the people who post here.  I am hoping the LS-05 will be a nice complement to my Guild D-55.  By resarching the archives, I feel like I have known this guitar for a long time already!    :nana_guitar

Congrats on winning the LS-05.  :nice guitar:
I have an LS-09 and an LS-19 that I bought from forum members and of all my guitars, they are my favorites for sound, size and shape. Really exquisite instruments. I hope you enjoy it!

Congratulations on the sale/purchase! I was hoping to sneak in and get this for a good price, but it got too high for me. After all I read on the forum about the LS body, I want one! I love my LV-09e, but would like to add something mahogany and a little smaller.

Thanks guys.  I think it was the uniqueness of the LS body ( and all the passion I keep hearing) that kept me in the hunt.

A few weeks ago I was in a major guitar shop A/B-ing a bunch of smaller guitars (Guilds,Martins,Taylors, etc) and my daughter came over with an OM-05.  Suddenly we all looked at each other as if to say "that is the sound!"  Well, I fought off the impulse, but couldn't pass on Bluemax's/Fingerstyles community LS!

Maybe I'll post my impressions on another thread...maybe a soundbite if I could ever figure out how to do that.

Peace, Mike

I would love that!!!  That's another model they should start making again, the LS!!  A bit smaller than an L, full scale...nice!!!

Good buy for an extremely rare guitar, not to mention the best of the Larrivee line if you ask me.
