K&K Pure Pre amp or XLR pre?

Howdy all,

I'm still inching my way toward performing out and want some adivce on pre amps.  I have a K&K mini western to install in my OM (thanks Juni!!) and am wondering which pre amp to get...the Pure looks good enough for what I will be doing....playing out at open mics etc...maybe a little recording at home in the future....but as I develop as a player...(assuming I do... ) will I want the features of the XLR in the future?

Go big, or stay home...

The larger unit has enough features and flexibility to justify the extra cost. I was fortunate to find a used XLR pre (in as new condition) for the price of a Pure pre. Even if I had to pay full price I would feel like I was getting good value.
