Does anyone know of (played?) an ALL koa guitar?  That is, not just back and sides, but top and maybe even neck too?  I've always dreamed of a 100% koa guitar.

he's also a moderator on the goodall guitar forum as koaguitarman.
http://www.thegoodallforum.com/groupcp.php?g=226

i think he's still a member of the larrivee forum or at least he used to but i haven't seen him here in a long time.  it would be interesting to know if he's added any additional koa guitars to his stable.

I play a all koa C-10 larrivee (except the neck ofcourse). Check out my two new videos in the "tecnique and playing" department and see if you like it. The pieces are "Living in normality" and "Beeing together". Happy new year, George.

I played a couple of all solid koa Tacoma guitars. Very crisp - almost shrill. Too trebly. A very limited selection, I'm sure there are other koa guitars that sound better.

I recently found an all Koa Bourgeois OM.  It was there one day and the next it was sold.

Russ is also on myspace as Koaguitarman,
He plays in two different groups, One Foot In and the Kahuna Cowboys Jug Band,
Both very entertaining groups, there are links to them on his myspace page.

as long as I don't start swapping wives... sounds like a good deal to me.

Thanks for all the info... I'll try to track down Russ (koaguitarman).  Russ... if you're out there... can you gimme a yell?

Also, if anyone could direct me to an all koa parlor (minimally top, sides, back) - I'd appreciate it.  Thanks.

I've been wanting a Bourgeois, and especially a OM, for a while now.  When I found this guitar, I hesitated one day and it was sold.   crying  Next time I will strike while the iron is hot.

That's insane. The guy must have a small fortune invested.  I do have to wonder if he ever gets tired of the tone of all those koa guitars?  Sems like they would all be a bit similar in sound?

[/quote[/color]]    I think I know how this guy can afford this private Koa forrest. He's the heir to that aluminium corporation. His name is....Al Koa.  (Sorry, it couldn't be helped).

I bought an all Koa Cordoba classic guitar at GC a couple weeks ago, and returned it the next day.  It only sounded OK. Several laminate guitars sounded better. JP

Now that I have donned my bullet proof vest I can say................. on purely looks alone.............I like the Tacoma better. I'm runnin' for the trench cause I know the bullets are a comin'. Please aim for the vest, not my head.
