One more from the upcoming demo with Brian Stear.  Stole this one from Hot Tuna's first album. If I remember correctly, this is the first song I tried to figure out from that album. Took weeks and and I wore out two needles on my record player. bigrin  I used my Larrivee OM-05MT on this one, too

How Long Blues

If I'd a known I was gonna to try and sing the blues later in life, I would have drunk more whiskey and smoked more cigarettes!

Excellent job on both guitar and vocals-even without a bourbon and cigarettes rasp!

Nice harp blowin' too-very train chuggy in parts and languid where needed.

  bowdown  bowdown
Outstanding, loved everything about it. Great stereo separation.
You wouldn't happen to have the music in tab for that do you? And is that standard tuning?

Great Job,

Very nice  country blues you got going there.  And if you had smoked and drank more as a younger man, you might not be here today to provide us with your talent.

Very cool Dave.  This is exactly the kind of stuff Hogtop Charlotte is working on.  We have about 30 tunes at the moment but that is a good one for the wish list.

Hey, thanks so much for the comments everyone!  LV19E, that is standard tuning - just blues in D withe one odd cord thrown in after the G7.

D------------------------D7-------------G7---------------------X
How long , baby how long , that evening train been gone
--------------D---------------A-A7------G7---------D-----G7----D------A
It's been gone - since that blood red - sun went down

Where X = X23130
On the A to A7 move over "Blood" you play the A barred and your pinky on the 6th string 5th fret A note - like this: X02225
And on the G7 over the word sun, just lift your finger off the E string 7th note to get the open E note.

Can't wait to hear some Hogtop Charlotte - what a cool name!

Thanks for the changes Dave, that makes it real easy to add to the fold without even thinking about it.  I will post some recordings as soon as we make some, which should be fairly soon.
