i play in a lot of live situations......i guess i'd like to know if it really makes a huge difference in tone...where i play most of the time has a Groove tubes DI box.....it's alright i guess...but i want something i can take around with me.....i guess my question is....if you could go back, would you get it again?

I think it is a great box for the money.  It takes some time to learn and tweak but it is very effective with good tone shaping ability and feedback control. 

Yes I would buy another if I had to do it all over again.  However, I favor my K&K Pure XLR over the PADI, ONLY because it has the proper impedance match to the K&K pickup.  I plan on keeping my PADI for UST equiped guitars.
