How about some pic's of pet's.
This is my best friend (besides my wife). His name is Rambo but he has several aliases, he also goes by Roy, Timmy, Buddy and Puppy Boy. He is a mixed breed, Husky, Chow and Retriever and he is 12 years old.
In the first picture he is on guard duty of the back yard (yes that is snow outside the doorwall). In the second picture he just finished his aerobic workout, 50 pushups, wish I could do that many.

Since we're posting pictures of animals,  and snow.

That's myself,  Pete,  my beagle and Bear,  my Dad's mixed breed dog.  I believe Bear has some chow in him.    I found bear under my Mom's car years ago when I went to visit.

My pack -- and some of my best friends:

Believe it or not, all five of these are ours.  I'm glad they let us live in their house!

As you might guess from my signature I'm fond of pugs.    In fact I'm over- pugged at the moment.

I didn't pose these guys; they posed themselves.

tuffy, Where are their cigars?

Pete, I take it that photo was from last winter like mine, right?

Blue, are your guards on night duty?

bjstrings, those are some very good looking friends you got there.

I knew we could get some unique pictures with this thread. Thanks for the replies.

PS. we don't play favorites here so if your best friend is other than the usual dog or cat, bring it on. We welcome all pets.

Lotsa real fine looking dogs here. Mine are at home in Beijing while I'm visiting the U.S. & Canada for 6 weeks (or am I home now? I forget!).  Anyway, it makes me a bit homesick to see my boys & girls.  And all of yours, too. Can I come over & play with them?

Mine is pretty close to dead.

He's a big lab 14+ years old and keeps returning from about dead, but he won't quit. Really not a surprise though. I've had 1-2 dogs for my 48 years and I don't think this one can be topped. It has been a fun trip to have the sort of dog that you dream of and has done the things you usually only see in movies. His good behavior, strength and smarts have been off the charts compared to about any other dog I've known.

Last time I went away for an extended trip, the red one licked me for, literally, hours.  Drove me crazy.  The big gray siberian (who's actually the puppy), tried to climb up on my shoulders like a mink stole; he thinks he's still a little guy.

Is it true that the black pugs have a different personalities than the fawns ?  I've heard that but I never knew if there was any truth to it.

Where's the pictures !

Next to my wife of 32 years, my best pet/friend is Jake ... a 10 year old Staffordshire Terrier that I've had for 10 years ... he still thinks he is one of my children ... and I guess he is.

Tuffy - I sent you an email with a couple pics.  I'm not signed up with a server so I can't post pics.  Both of our pugs have taken up smoking by the way.

I got the pics.  Thanks.   By the way, you no longer have to be signed up with a server to post pics here.   Check out the new instructions for posting pics.  It's very easy now.
If you want I can post the pics you sent to me.   I won't post them without your permission however.

Sorry to hear that your pugs have taken up smoking.   I hope Tuffy wasn't a bad influence on them.  We're trying to get him to stop but he just licks the nicotine patches.

Sure post the one of them on the couch.  Guess I'm not too savvy on picture posting.  Tuffy hasn't been a bad influence at all.  I don't think a  cigar every now and then is too much.  Maybe we could try the nic gum?

These are my two Australian Shepherds - one standard tri-color and the other a mini.  Quite possibly the smartest dogs you'll ever meet - espcially the little guy.  Cle'lie, my tri, is guarding my new larrivee.  She perks her ears when she gets excited - so safe to say she likes larris too!
