Here's a post by John Larrivee Jr on another Forum!
Mine are due here in the next day or so!

I frequently visit this bulletin board to see what's going on in the uke world. Over the years you players have often had a lot of positive feedback on my ukes... Thank-You! I am posting here today to let you know that I recently decided to do another run of saprano ukulele's. There are about 150 of them(mahogany and koa), ranging from entry level 01's to mid level 09's to 10's with master grade Koa. I will finish these ukes over the next several month's. About a dozen being completed a week. I am also building 10 concert size ukes that will be available sometime in August. If you are interested in owning a uke from this run you can find out what is available and order through your favorite dealer. I have read frequent postings concerning hardshell cases for Larrivee ukes. I now have custom fitted hardshell cases for the them. Mini versions of our guitar cases. They are very solid! The hardshell cases will be offered as an option. A softshell gigbag is always included either way. For those of you already owning a Larrivee uke and are interested in geting your hands on a hardshell case, just order one through your Larrivee dealer. It's pretty exciting doing the uke "thing" again, it's been a while! Thanks again for the good words, input and support you have given. John Larrivee Jr. Carpe Diem!

thanks for the head up Dave, i'd like to see what larrivee's concert ukuleles look like and may be interested in getting one...i've seen picks of a larrivee saprano ukes and they are quite nice...incidently the Hawaiian name Ukulele is in reference to jumping/dancing fleas or lice because of how the players rapidly strumming fingers has the look of jumping/dancing fleas...back in my youth all students had to go through an uku check (head lice) because the infestation got so bad in schools and they probably still do uku checks... i never got infested by the way B)

I almost bought a Ukulele in Hawaii.  It was a baritone body with a tenor neck and made out of all koa.

Is the concert size coming out in August the same as tenor size Uke?

Anybody remember Arthur Godfrey?? He would have loved these... :P

QuoteAnd awaaaay we go !!!!!!
I think that was Jackie Gleason.

The only thing I remember for Arthur Godfrey was "How ah ya, how ah ya, how ah ya." (With a broad New York accent).

I think it was a play on combining "How are you?" and Hawaii.

I always picture him in a Hawaiian shirt, lei, Captains hat and playing a uke. Pleasant man.

Awesome!!
How do you tune them? Like a 4 string banjo? And use a felt pick?

I think it is C6 tuning but I could be wrong. Think, "My dog has fleas".
