has anybody replaced their ping tuners on their 03 series guitar with a set of the grover open back sta-tite tuners?  curious if they are a direct replacement or if new holes have to be drilled or covered, or fi the holes for the pegs are the same size.  thanks!

I haven't replaced larrivee tuners with grovers but honestly I have to say the quality of the larrivee tuners is higher than grover statites.  They will fit but you will have to make two new screw holes for each tuner.  You will also need to buy the conversion bussings so they will fit.  After haveing some recent problems with statites I would no longer recommend them.  If you want that style tuner on a high end guitar, stick with waverlys.
