First, this may be the wrong forum for this but I wanted to target the other Larrivee owners who may have heard or read the same thing.

Has anyone learned of newer L.R. Baggs preamps that would allow the current models in our guitars to be upgraded if desired?  Supposedly they are drop in replacements.

I have an I-Beam, an Element, and an M1, and they all use the same plug and could all be used in any pre-amp as long as the female side of the plug existed on the pre-amp. I have the dual source pre-amp and have the M1 and I-Beam in it right now, but can just as easily unplug either one of them and insert the Element into the mix.

Any of their pre-amps can be purchased seperately, so I would imagine that you can change pre-amps anytime you would want. You can see their products line up here:
