New how? Babicz have been around for a while.
[Played one at Staten Island's Mandolin Bros. two years ago ... for 20 seconds or so -- can't say that i was a fan.]

I played acouple. Interesting. I'd really like one if they were built in the US or Canada!

Sound? Full as a Tacoma DM9. Very similar tone.
Neck? Superb! That is where they shie.
Cost? Way too much for an Indonesian made guitar!

:bgrin: I'm afraid that was pretty much my thought when I played one.
I applaud the endeavour, but I prefer a lighter instrument, and can accept
the potential need for a once or twice in a lifetime neck reset.

Now, bevels, wedges & soundports -- changes that significantly benefit the player --
that's the kind of innovation that works for me.
