Now it makes sense...my d03 has a satin finish!!!  I thought it was a little too sensitive.  I'm going to try it in my Martin SPD 12 16 R 12 string and see how it works there.  Thanks for the input!

You may want to consider the Pure XLR preamp for perfect impedance matching and feedback control in live situations.  Another good unit is the LR Baggs PADI (Para Acoustic DI).  The PADI has more feedback control and tone shaping but not a perfect impedance match, however, still a good match to the K&K Mini.

Any drawbacks because of the not exact impedance matching?
