Hi guys,

I ordered an L-05E from Jason at Notable Guitars.
I'd like to ask you questions about L-05E especially about nut, saddle and pins.
I read that bone saddle really improves the souding of guitars. According to Larrivee.com, my L-05E will have a bone saddle, so I think that it's not gonna be a problem for me, is it?
But what about the nut? I don't what it is made of.
I've just had a look at guitarsaddles.com where it is told that "the effectiveness of the nut in changing the sonic qualities of your instrument is negligible".
What do you guys think about it? Is it worth changing the nut?
One last quiestion about pins. The L-05E has ebony pins (I think, I don't really know...) What do you think of them? Is it worth changing them?

Thanks in advance for your help, I hope that my english is understandable (cos' I'm french...)

2006 Larrivée L-05E

The nut on my L-05 is Tusq . . . and the only difference in sound by replaceing the nut would be on open strings.  The bone saddle is the most noticable (and it will be fine with an undersaddle pickup too).  I found by replacing the ebony bridge pins with bone there was a bit of improvement in sound (to my ears).
