I can't tell either. hmm He usually plays a taylor but that doesn't resemble a taylor at all.

Nope, it isn't a Gurian.  Its some obscure small builder.  Probably the name is mentioned in some Kotke interview of the time.  But who has time now to go look for something like that?

I thnk Charlie is a lot better known now than he was then, what with the renaissance of handbuilt guitars.  Now we know why guitar makers look to put distinctive markings and spapes on their headstocks.
