It's DONE!   I brought it home last night.

I am extremely pleased.  I have to admit I had my doubts that Engleman would work for my country blues style playing, but it sounds fantastic!  And I'd never even heard of Wenge!  Nathan asked me what I wanted tone-wise and he picked the woods.  The Wenge/Englemann has nice full sound to it with some great ovetones, but not too much to get in the way.  The bass is WONDERFUL - sounds deep rich and full with a bit more woodiness than rosewood and some extra fundamentals which come out when pushed.  Very balanced, with plenty of power when you need it.  Sounds great picked soft or strummed hard - very versatile.

Good job Nathan!

Here's a pic, more to come soon.

Noel OM #001
It now has a Greven OM pickguard and a custom armrest made by Nathan.

I'll also be doing some recordings soon, both miced and direct.

Anyone wants to see and hear it, come out to Swinger's Bar & Grill, at the Golf Learning Center, 1304 Cross Creek Drive, Normal, Friday night at 8:30 PM.

What's the body depth? It looks a little deeper than a regular OM

Thanks for the nice coments, everyone.  I'm really digging this thing.  Nathan took it back to correct the intonation.  I'll have it back in a week or so.

Here's some pics he took while builing:

Edavis, it's standard depth for an OM. That pic makes it look deeper.
