This originally was in my other topic which kind of went off topic.  Anyhow, I have a Yamaha pacifica 112J (HSS config) that I want to gut and hotrod.
Currently the Pickup I have been told to put in are

NECK:  GFS Little Killer (Mini humbucker rails 6K)
MID:    GFS Little Killer (Mini humbucker rails 6K)
Bridge: GFS Fat PAF Boutiques (Humbucker)

I am not into 100 types of sounds with 20 switches, I'd like to keep things simple, so I was wondering if anyone can point me in a direction for wirings to get the most usable sounds out of these.  Right Now I am thinking

5 way switch, and 2 sets of concentric Volume/pots, maybe 1 more push pull so I dont have to do any extensive modifications.

Switch
1:  Neck
2:  Neck + Mid
3:  Mid
4:  Mid + Bridge
5:  Bridge

Concentric pot 1
volume/tone for neck and bridge pickup (since these 2 would never be blended together)

Concentric Pot 2
Voluem/tone for mid pickup.

Mini Push Pull
Coil Tap for position 5 (bridge humbucker pickup)

Does this configuration seem reasonable to the experts here??  Please comment or point me to a forum where experts resides. :cheers

Good choice but if you want to keep it real simple use a master vol and tone, push pull on the tone to split the bridge HB.I'm sure there are wiring diaghrams on the net somewhere.

Thanks Uncle Rob, Honestly, I am just throwing it out there.  I will be another 2 weeks or so before I have time to learn the switches and get around to drawing out he schematics.

I thought about taping the rails, but I didn't see much point since they are made to mimic the single coils (with more bottom) anyway.  I'll keep you updated of my progress (at least I hope to call it progress).  :arrow
