I've been watching some DVD's of classic rock bands. Last night was Jefferson Airplane, with vocalist Marty Balin working a SM57.

Trent...like the instrumental    Do you have that tabbed out by any chance? It sounds fun to play.

I used my lr baggs element in one channel and a sm57 aimed at the 12th fret and enjoyed the results. the element alone is great as well. as for total acoustic. i use a condenser as well as the '57. i would recomment mxl-they are relatively inexpensive and sound great.

I've got 57's and 58's, I use the 57's on guitars, amps, and drums while the 58's are used on vocals most of the time. :WNK>

Man, thanks--you flatter me.  It's all I can do to play it....
