Hi all - does anyone know where to get a pickguard replacement for my DV-03E? It doesn't have to be Greven, I think I like Tortoise type pattern and I don't want to spend that much since this is strictly aesthetic. I read through the forum searches but not much on where to get them or which ones work. I want one that will cover alittle more than what teh clear one covers now.

Thanks!

I popped an email to Brian. Curious to see how much it is. In the meantime saw a bunch on ebay - curious little things - they have MOP inlays up the wazoo. Some are nice.

Anyone know the effect of a pickguard on a guitar? Does it affect tone, etc?

Here's an example:

FYI.  I inquired about a tortis puckguard for my parlor...$29...plus 5 for shipping.

$35 for a friggin' piece of plastic I thought larrivee was supposed to have FAIR prices(I guess its just for the guitars though)

Got this back from Brian at Larrivee:

"http://www.stewmac.com would be your best choice. "

I went there and they only had black or abalone. No tortoise or anything.

Thanks dermot! Yeah I came across that in my searches. What's the diff between MPGT MPGTB. They only show the MPGTB so I don't know what would be different.

My guess?

MPGT =  Martin Pick Guard Tortise

MPGTB. = Martin Pick Guard Tortise Bold

i see the bold one displayed below the standard.. just a bit further down the page when i go there....(using Safari on Osx)

i perfer the bottom one, although i am more likely to remove a pg than install one meself!
