To make it more fun, I'm posting my guesses before reading any answers after jimmyd's and part of LForL's.

1) Martin
2) OM or 000
3)Mahogany/spruce
4) Tusq
5) 80/20
6) uncoated
7) Medium pick.

Going back now to see how wrong I was.

I also think it's a vintage guitar.

Now there's a guy that has it all worked out! You're right, it will be difficult to win. Just like the Lotto folks, and those nice folks in Vegas, the dealer is holding a pretty good hand in this case.

Since Randy hasn't committed yet to an answer I'm going to assume that he is "counting the cards" and waiting for the math to do the work for him. Well I'm not going to let that stop me!

Looking         1 for 7
Denis            1 for 7         (Denis I was really hoping you would win. Your plane fare wouldn't be that expensive for me!)

I also just realized that I didn't cap the entry date. Contest closes at 5 PM Eastern. I will reveal the winners (unlikely there will be any!) at that time.

I hope the artist gets as many listens to his CD when it is completed.  :UND>

I took a test last fall put on by luthier Tim McKnight where I actually had samples of woods in my hands to examine, and I still only got 50% right...

I know it's either something really obscure like a line 6 guitar, or it's a really crappy brand, or it's a really high end guitar than nobodys ever heard of using woods that nobodys ever heard of.  My question is, ron, have any of us actually ever heard of this guitar brand?

It is a brand that everyone here knows of, and more than likely have played.
