With the exception of the D's, for me,  they all "play" the same
Okie doke. Fair enough. : I was just wondering, tho', if the short scales "fingered" any easier than the long scale. Guess not. So, what's up with the D's?

You know what I really want, don't you? A Larrivee acoustic that sounds like a Larrivee acoustic, but plays as easily as my Larrivee electrics! Is that too much to ask?

And just because you answered ..........

One way I have resized my pix, is to email them to myself. Download them, then upload to the forum. Email resizes them.
Another way is to use Microsoft Paint which has easy resizing abilities.

It seems my pictures are over the allowed  size. I will have to find another way to load pictures here . from my reaserch Danelectro was sold to MCA in 1967  MCA started the coral line of guitars as there professional series  they stoped production and closed there doors in Neptune NJ in 1969.  In the course of just trying to find out what model this guitar was  I stumbled on to the reason why MCA closed the Danelectro factory apparently MCA was one of the companies in that erra that was in the crosshares of attorney general Robert Kennedy  as being a Monopoly .

What's wrong with the picture is that it's out of focus.

There is nothing wrong with the pick guard: Taylor pick guards have a certain attempted "flair".   They remind me of overly decorated "cowboy" shirts from times past.  The Larrivee pick guards I see on the 14-fret D models remind me of teardrops you might see on a cat or monkey from a 1930's black & white illustration or cartoon. (I do have limits: no "Everly" or "Elvis leather" monstrosities for me.)

Dustin, I know that so many of your youtube videos that were only miked all sounded incredible and that holds true for your studio recordings as well.  I also know for your live performances you need more versatility than can be possible in a controlled recording environment.  So I say Both, use the mic setup for recording and use the K&K/Trinity and/or add a blended mag pickup arrangement for your live gigs.  Win win Dude!

My first thought was the K&K Trinity had to better, if just so the mike doesn't slowly fall away! .......

The mic clip sounded incredible! The internal system would have sounded just as wonderful, had you not posted the mic clip (first?). There's a huge difference in overall overtones, nuances, etc with the mic. But honestly, I could live with the KK Trinity. It did sound good. Just for reference, I played the vid thru my studio set up, well, what's left of it - the mixer and the speakers, so I cold get the full effect. Nice vid.
