Title: North Texas Acoustic Circle
Post by: anderbird on March 23, 2005, 07:31:05 PM
Greetings from the Lone Star State!

The first Acoustic Circle was an overwhelming success. We will host our next gathering on Thursday April 14th. From then on we are looking at the 2nd Thursday of each month.

All levels are welcome to join us in an informal relaxed atmosphere, just bring a guitar.

Please give me a shout or e-mail if you would like to attend so that I can have a rough head count.

We will be in Frisco, Texas from 6:30PM to 9.
Beginners are welcome, and all acoustic players are encouraged to attend.

Please come to:
Anderson Guitar Gallery
6811 Oak Street
Frisco, TX 75034
214-387-4050

Thanks!
Steve

It should be a great time, I hope you can make it acoustic84.

Just a quick reminder, the circle is tomorrow evening. Looks like we should have a good crowd and a great evening!
Thanks
Steve

And how did you run it? I've hosted a few over the years at my house, small get togethers, but very enjoyable.

We had a ball, a fantastic evening on the patio.  Some really nice playing by some, a couple of great Melancamp sing a longs and a really good time.  We had about twenty in attendance and I have put some pics on the website here:

The next one will be on Thursday May 12th, and you can check the events page on our website for the other concerts and gatherings we will be hosting.

Thanks a bunch!
Steve

p.s. Giggler, it was pretty laid back, people found thier comfort level, we went around the circle, some folks stepped forward and played something or called a tune, and some folks watched/played along.  It was intentionally loose to keep it from being intimidating.
