i've had a few of these.

I gave the prized RS4 CM back to the original owner (it was stolen, i finally tracked him down)

I never really liked (or understood) the theory behind these models with the three single pull switches (on/off) and then an extra one to activate the double coil on the bridge HB pup.

As this guitar came to me, unplayable and with many issues, I decided to make it a working player grade guitar.

Original Jean hand wound pups, original neck and tuners in decent shape (loved how they all had ebony fingerboards!
This one has an ebony nut as well, and probably once had a Kahler term.

Body was rough, trem had been replaced with a Floyd Rose (Washburn stamped) but works just fine.

I pulled the 4 switches, got a 5 way blade switch, routed out the cavity to make it work, made the cover, filled in the 4th hole and shot some black spray over the mess .
I had the two back covers in my stash of bits and pieces.
both pots and tone cap had to be replaced.

its as fine a "strat" clone I've ever played and REALLY has growl when the full bridge pup is kicked in.

Stays in tune, nasty black and dirty, with lots of Mojo & attitude.

was a fun rebuild, loving playing the beast.

That's a cool guitar.  Back in the Spring I bought an 80s-style Jackson guitar to play 80s rock on.  Though I don't play it much, it's great fun when I decide to drag all the "stuff" (cables, amp, etc) and get it all going.  What a pain!  And what a spoiled guitar player I am by mostly playing acoustic!  I looked at some of these old Larrivees when I was getting the Jackson and found some online.  I still wouldn't mind having one in great shape at the right price.  May you play yours in good health for many years.
