It is with great reluctance I am selling my treasured Larrivee LV-05. Yes, this is one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever owned, period! But, I found the "guitar of my dreams" in a Taylor 614ce and to help with financing of that purchase, I need to sell this one. So, here are the details:
It was built July 24th 2009 making it a 10 year guitar. I bought it used but you would never know that it was 10 years old (refer to the HD pics below) This guitar is definitely what I would call mint --- and I NEVER describe a guitar as mint unless it is just like one you opened the box on right from the factory. I have owned it for about a year now, and I would say that the previous owner never played it.
It has an LR Baggs Element installed and comes with the original hardshell case which is in really good condition. I've also added a bone saddle (Larrivee) as well.
Ok, let me describe the neck on this guitar a bit further. First of all, it has to be the lowest profile neck I have ever played. If you like a beefy chunky neck, then this guitar is NOT for you! It is the standard 1.75" width but is certainly a lower profile than say a LV-03 (which I own). I would place this guitar in the category of "great fingerpicking" guitar vs. a strummer.
My preference is sell the guitar in Canada, it is just so much easier and shipping to USA costs an arm and a leg. I really don't want to get into the whole CITES thing either. My real preference is sell it locally where the purchaser can try it, feel it, touch it, play it.

Yes, this is one and the same, it was listed on the Moncton Kijiji and I was fortunate enough to land this beauty. Congrats on the Martin OM21 Special, they are really nice, one of my favourite Martin's for sure!! :nana_guitar
