Title: Doyle Dykes
Post by: Mikeymac on June 29, 2017, 04:03:46 PM
Not a Larrivee player (that I know of) or endorser - he's played endorsed Taylors and more recently had a signature Guild, which he showcases here... if you've got a little time, this performance at Sweetwater is worth your time.

He's now moved on to Godin guitars (of all things!) - they're working on a signature model for him, but it's not out yet...

...meanwhile, he's recorded a bunch of tunes on Gretsches, and that will be available online around July 4th, I think. The title of the album is "The Return of the Falcon."

I don't really care what kind of guitar he plays, he is just so Awesome Talented!  For a primarily instrumentalist, he is as soulful with the strings as any great vocalist.  At least IMHO....   Thanks so much for sharing this, I had not seen it.
