I had thinned the heard and was getting along fine with LV-02. Had been softly looking for a small bodied blues box/campfire guitar. At our weekly jam, one of our regulars has been playing a Hog topped GS Mini for the last year, and he certainly sounds good playing it.

As luck would have it, I came across a sale on a spruce topped mini, and figured I would give it a try. The sound is amazing to me , given the body size. I never warmed up to parlors due to the boxy sound, but Taylor nailed it with this one. My only real criticism is the neck is a bit chunky, and a 1 3/4 nut would knock it out of the park.  Really nice and light with the gigbag. For the price, nice guitar.

The GS Mini needs to have medium strings - a problem for my hand. I tried mine (spruce top) with lights but it took the flavor out.
With mediums, however, it is a great sounding guitar. I ended up donating mine to a good cause, but I do miss it.
It is the best sounding small guitar I have played.

yep, mediums work well on the GS Mini. Due to the short scale, you run out of fretboard fast if capoing up anywhere around the 5th fret, but you can't beat the portability and sound per dollar.

Just had a neck reset on mine last week. The Luther just adjusts shims. Taylor doesn't recommend sanding the saddle at all. You kind of adjust be shimming the neck.

It's great you found a guitar you like.
