Title: Leho Guitars ... again (designed by Jean Larrivee)
Post by: Mikeymac on April 26, 2016, 06:33:34 PM
These got a mention in a post on the main/acoustic forum, thought they were worth a mention here again for anyone who hasn't seen them yet.

Leho Guitars (http://www.guitarsplususa.com/leho.shtml)

Made in China. The choice of woods makes them very attractive.

The only down side I can see is you can pick up a used Larrivee 02/03/maybe even 04 series for the price of one of these new...if you're patient. And Larrivee offers more models (there's no "L" or "LV" body equivalent in the Leho line). And Larrivee offers lefties - no lefty Leho's (try saying that ten times!) that I can see...

MAP may also be negotiable with some dealers....  I do not see them moving much, but am very interested in checking out the quality.  They are distributed through the Larrivee dealer network...

Didn't know that ... I should try to convince my local Larrivee dealer to get a couple in (don't know how much luck I'll have - they only stock a couple Larrivees at a time - in a shop with walls full of Martins, Gibsons, Taylors, Fenders, Yamahas, etc. ...)

I knew the name seemed  familiar... They are a pretty big ukulele builder.  So has anyone played one?  Interesting to see how they compare to other entry level guitars.  A new answer to that old question about decent guitars under $800?
