Title: Close call, good story.
Post by: headsup on April 05, 2016, 02:18:13 PM
Yesterday I posted an ad from Nova Scotia, for an old yellow Larrivee electric.
It was similar to the now famous Key Marcello model in Europe.
The price was $500, and by the time I got hold of the owner (in Annapolis Valley), it had been sold.

AS I was just down to that part of the country, we got to talking, and I thought our paths may have crossed in the old days.

Nice guy, bought the guitar new in 1987, still had the bill of sale for $2,100.00, played the guitar a lot, and it was in good shape etc.,
He never did explain why he sold it. Anyways turns out the guy who bought it, does in fact know me, and is teasing me with how great it is, etc., and is trying to extract funds from my wallet, thinking I might want it more than him.

He bought it for a reason, and as he loves it, that's where it should be.
I was never that big on bright yellow guitars anyways......

Actually I am negotiating on another one on the left coast.
It's purple, which is my wife's favorite colour, and after all, everybody knows I only buy guitars for her now, and she lets me play them.
besides, yellow is her most hated colour, especially in guitars.
So that was easy..... :whistling: :roll
