Title: MiniFlex 2Mic
Post by: sms_guitar on July 06, 2015, 11:38:43 AM
Hello,

As the owner of an OM-03, I was first surprised and then second, very first appreciative that the tail-block was pre-drilled for an end-pin jack. Well done!

I then installed a MiniFlex 2Mic Model 7 internal mic'ing system and must say that I am very, very impressed with the results. One comment that I received was from my wife, who, hearing me play acoustically for over 20 years, stated that what she was hearing was me - "just louder". When I asked her what she meant by this statement, she simply said that the sound she was hearing was identical with and without the use of the 2Mic - only that what she was hearing with the 2Mic was just louder. This, to me, is one of the best comments that you could ever receive when using any type of mic'ing system.

You can glean a bit more information about their mic'ing systems here: MinFlex 2Mic (http://www.miniflexmic.com/)

Note: The developer of the 2Mic, Ken Donnell has written an interesting article entitled, "How to Choose the Right 2Mic Model" - which also provides some important and pertinent information about the differences between "pickups" and "mics". You can obtain that article here: How to Choose the Right 2Mic Model (http://www.miniflexmic.com/support/How_to_Choose_the_Right_2Mic_Model.pdf)

I hope that other Larrivee user's find this information both useful and helpful?
